Kevin Erickson joins the LCI Tech team as our newest accessibility manager. You can read about Kevin’s career path and many accomplishments , but we sat down with Kevin to get to know him a little bit better with a fun Q&A.
Welcome to the team, Kevin! We can’t wait to see all that you’ll bring to LCI Tech!
Q: What gets you out of bed every morning?
A: I appreciate every day and want to make the best use of each. Early mornings before the dawn are my favorite because time seems to move a little slower and I get more done!
Q: What are you looking forward to most about joining the LCI Tech team?
A: We have a lot of work to do as we create, and support others to create, accessible digital content. I am very excited to be a part of a team focused on making it more feasible for people with disabilities to do everyday tasks online. And by helping facilitate people’s civil rights, we allow society as a whole to be stronger, as those we support will also be a bigger part of the workforce that run the world.
Q: What excites you about moving to the Raleigh-Durham area?
A: Everything I have learned about the area is positive. There are so many places to visit and explore.
Q: What is your best-kept secret for making progress each day?
A: Maybe not a secret, but I feel my progress moves best with music. There is always a different genre to fit the pace I need.
Q: What does a typical weekend look like for you?
A: My typical weekend is spending time with family and friends. I enjoy getting out and exploring or working around the house.
Q: What’s a song title that best describes your personality?
A: Heroes by David Bowie. By advocating, implementing and teaching accessibility we can all be heroes for users.
Q: If you had a superpower, what would it be and why?
A: The superpower I would want is Inspiration. I would have the ability to empower others with the passion, creativity and motivation to work together to build better and stronger support for all the people with all their diversity.
