For 18 years, the Triangle Business Journal has recognized the brightest business and community leaders who are making their mark and promising to do even more before the age of 40. The 2019 40 Under 40 awards were no different, delivering an impressive list of names throughout the Triangle that are consistently innovating and carving a path forward for their respective industries. John Samuel, head accessibility evangelist for the LCI Tech team, was nominated and selected to join the privileged ranks of these front-runners, highlighting the impact that his determination and dedication to accessibility has had on his colleagues, clients, and everyone else he comes in contact with.
“When I started to lose my sight 19 years ago, I never thought I could have a meaningful career here, right in my home town, so this award holds a special place in my heart,” said John. “I would not be on this prestigious list if it weren’t for the support of so many friends, family, and teams that have served as beacons of light.”
